Obituary

Vincent Bahl, 94, of McAllister, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2019, at Rennes Health Center-East in Peshtigo. He was born June 25, 1925 to Victor and Katherine (Phillpi) Bahl. Growing up, he worked on the family farm before entering military service. Vincent was a veteran of World War II, proudly serving his country in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the VFW and formerly the 20-Year Club. He later worked in Green Bay where he managed a grocery store. After returning to this area, Vincent was employed at the former Kargard Industries, retiring as a welding inspector. In retirement, he operated a welding shop and was known for the quality of his work.
In 1981, he married the former Elizabeth “Betty” (Wyngard) Rastall and resided in the Town of Wagner for many years. Vincent loved fishing, enjoyed building things in his garage and had remodeled his entire home.
He is survived by a son, Kevin (Kim) Bahl of Marinette; three step-children, Bruce Rastall (Diane Vinton), Gail (Skip) Nunn and Todd (Meredith) Rastall; 18 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; a brother, David (Teri) Bahl; and two sisters, Mary Ann Otradavec and Theresa Jensen.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; and a brother, Clifford.
Friends may call at Hansen-Onion-Martell funeral home in Marinette from 4 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2019. Visitation will continue at Community Lutheran Church in McAllister after 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 18th. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday in the church with the Rev. Richard Hueter officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military honors.
