Tom G. Uecke, 64, of Menominee, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 25, 2020. He was born December 19, 1955 in Menominee to Ward “Mose” Uecke and Joyce (Sandberg) Uecke. Tom resided in Menominee most of his life and graduated from Menominee High School in 1975. He was employed by Kimberly-Clark for 40 years as a machine tender.
He enjoyed spending his time with his children, fishing in his boat, hunting at the family camp, four-wheeling, visiting with friends at the Legion and enjoying Schooner’s burger night. Since retiring he discovered his love of travel while vacationing in Mexico with special friend Kris Harvey.
Tom is survived by his father, Mose; children, Logan Uecke and Margaret Uecke; sister, Lynn (Kevin) Jaklin; brother, Terry (Sandy) Uecke; nephew, Tyler Uecke; niece, Tatum Uecke; Aunt Carol (Ronald) Woods; along with numerous cousins and special friend, Kris.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce.
Due to the Covid-19 health crisis, a private graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Menominee. A memorial celebration of Tom’s life is planned and will be announced at a later date.
Tom’s family would like to express how thankful they are to the first responders for their service.
