Rose Mary Weissgerber, 80, formerly of Menominee, passed away Tuesday evening, August 29, 2017, at Bay Area Medical Center, surrounded by her family. She was born September 29, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois to Casimer and Lottie Ann Schultz, Sr.
Rose spent most of her life in the twin city area and married Lawrence Weissgerber on February 14, 1978, residing in Menominee for many years. He preceded her in death on November 5, 2001.
Rose is survived by two daughters, Carol Botkin of Marinette and Marie (Josephine) Brzezinski of Menominee; grandchildren, Jason (Sarah) Bargo, Jesse Botkin, Monica (Brent) Barber, Joseph Botkin, James Botkin, Amy (Mitch) Abbott and Darren Wells (Kara); great-grandchildren, Thomas Barber, Ryan Barber, Daniel Barber, Caleb Ludvigsen, Emma Bargo, Addisyn Abbott, Olivia Wells, Ava Wells, Lyla Wells and Lincoln Wells; four sisters, Diana (husband, Carl) Hoppe, Helen Schultz and Arlene Wolf, all of Marinette, and Lucille McCoy of Oak Lawn, Ill.; five brothers, Casimer, Jr., Richard, Edward, Jerry and John Schultz; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Rose was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret and Mary Ann; and a son-in-law, Berchel Botkin.
Friends may call at Hansen-Onion-Martell funeral home in Marinette from 4 until 7 p.m. on Friday, September 8, 2017. A parish Vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday. Visitation will continue at the funeral home after 10 a.m. on Saturday. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 9th, in Holy Family Parish-Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Taylor St. by the Reverend Celestine Byekwaso. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Menominee.
