Obituary

Roger W. Davis, age 73, of Marinette, WI passed away surrounded by family at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay on Monday, February 25, 2019. He was born May 3, 1945 in Marinette to the late Warren and Elsie (Winkler) Davis.
Roger graduated from Peshtigo High School in 1963. He proudly served four years in the US Air Force. Upon discharge, he attended the University of Wisconsin - Marinette and Moraine Park Technical Institute.
Roger married Sharon Lindbom on May 24, 1975 at First United Methodist Church in Marinette. He was employed as a district parts and service representative for Case/IH and the Kawasaki Construction Equipment Company of North America, retiring in 2010.
Roger logged over 3 million air miles, meeting many new people--he never knew a stranger, and was always ready with a good joke (and his opinion). Roger loved to trap shoot, hunt, fish, and spend time at the family cabin in Silver Cliff. He especially loved time spent with children and grandchildren. Roger was a member of the American Legion Post 146, Peshtigo Gun Club and Menominee Woods and Streams Sportsman's Club.
He will be sadly missed by wife Sharon and their children Brian Davis and wife Chrissy of Marinette, and Shawna and husband Ryan Byrne of Charleston, SC, and grandchildren Ruby and Matilda ("Tilly") Byrne and Cayden Davis.
He is further survived by special nieces and nephews Jean Swanson, Jenny Berg (Aaron Anderson), Eric Berg, Lisa Petrack (Greg), Gina Schmidt (Kevin), Jacob Peak, Jarett Peak, Sage Gratto, and Lily Schmidt; sister-in-law Lois Davis, and many cousins and friends.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Judy Berg and Shirley Gratto, brother Howard, brothers-in-law Einar Berg and Everett Gratto, and nephew Einar Jon Berg.
Visitation will be at the First United Methodist Church Marinette on Saturday, March 2, 2019 from 9:00am until time of service at noon, the Reverend Kevin Dembinski officiating. Luncheon will follow.
Hansen-Onion-Martell Funeral Home is assisting the family. The family thanks Emergency Rescue Squad, Inc. personnel, ER staff at BAMC and the 3rd floor ICU staff at Aurora BayCare in Green Bay for their assistance.
