Obituary

Mary Louise Kronauer, 97, of Marinette WI passed away on Saturday May 4, 2019 at Rennes-East in Peshtigo. She was born on December 5, 1921, in Paterson, N.J to the late Issac Miller and Anna (Barrett) Miller.

Mary worked in a wallet factory in N.J before moving to Marinette WI. She married Rudolph Kronauer on April 17, 1954 and raised 3 daughters June, Betty and Lynn.

Mary was a member of Pioneer Presbyterian Church where she served as a past deacon and elder of the church. For many years she fried peanuts for the annual fundraiser which earned her the title as the “peanut lady”. She also volunteered at BAMC for many years.

She enjoyed crocheting and if you were fortunate enough to know her you may have received one of her hand made blankets, potholders, baby sweaters, baby hats or dolls. She also loved to coffee clutch with friends, play bingo, trouble, yahtzee, needlepoint, word search and she was an avid reader of Danielle Steel and Debbie McCormick books.

Mary is survived by children June (Dean) Schultz of Peshtigo, Betty Demaske of Chetek and 10 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter Lynn Kronauer; 4 sisters and 11 brothers.

Visitation will be held at Pioneer Presbyterian Church, 1947 Riverside Ave., Marinette, WI from 1 until 3 p.m. on Wednesday May 8, 2019. The Rev. Jon Nelson will officiate at services beginning at 3 p.m. with a luncheon to follow.
Hansen-Onion-Martell funeral home is assisting the family.
