Obituary

Lucille A. Reitmeyer at 98 years found peace with God on Friday, April 17, 2020. She was born on July 14, 1921 in Grover to Charles and Ida Wieting.
She married William T. Reitmeyer on May 7, 1942.They were living in the Wausaukee area when he was sent to Germany during WWII, leaving her to raise one daughter with one on the way. After discharge they were blessed with her last child, a son. They moved to Marinette in 1950 living on Currie St. She worked at the Boreal Glove Factory and did alterations for J. C. Penney. Lucille enjoyed gardening, knitting, cooking, cards and puzzle books, but most of all, her many generations of children. She spent hours with the love of her life fishing, gardening and selling produce at the Marinette farmers market.
She was a member of Holy Family Parish.
Lucille is survived by daughters, Bonnie Haley and Louann Petersen of Marinette; and son, Charles Reitmeyer of Daggett MI; foster daughter, Susan Srenaski of Green Bay; 12 grandchildren Laurette, Jana, David, Malisa, Frederick Jr., Christine, Thomas Jr., Mark, Michelle, Heather, Matthew and Jennifer; 24 great-grandchildren; and 23 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Delores Seyfert and Rosemary Eparviar; and one brother, Lonnie (Pat) Wieting. She was preceded in death by husband, William in 2001; five sisters Carol, Olive, Julia, Irene, Gloria Ann; and five brothers Elmer, Herbert, Wallace, Levi, and Marvin.
A Memorial celebration of her life will be held on July 18, 2020 at the Holy Family parish hall. Later notice will be published if there need be any changes related to COVID-19 precautions.
Special thank you to the staff at Sun Valley and Heartland Hospice for the special treatment afforded to our mom as we were unable to enter the home because of the virus restrictions. We are at peace, knowing she did not have to die alone.
