He later earned a Master’s degree in Administration from UW-Superior.
He spent his entire 34 year career in education with the School District of Marinette as an elementary teacher and later principal. Joe married the former Shirley Nicklaus on October 3, 1959. Outside of teaching Joe enjoyed fishing and camping with his family and in retirement spent many winters in Florida. He was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church in Peshtigo.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley, of Peshtigo; one daughter, Pam (Dale) Ranthum; two sons, Marc (Leone) Beauclaire and Joseph (Lisa) Beauclaire; nine grandchildren, Krysta (Dan), Joseph (Carrie), Jonathan, Dominic, Alexa, Remy, Tyler, Mason and Dax; three great-grandchildren, Kaelyn, Lydia and Charlotte; one sister, Mary Lambrecht and her husband, Mike; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marilyn and Chic Hartert, Jean Switala, Bob and Judy Nicklaus and Randy and Miriam Nicklaus; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Myrtle and Joseph Beauclaire; and his mother and father-in-law, Eleanor and Robert Nicklaus.
