Elizabeth M. “Betty” Schultz, 90, of Menominee, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019, at her home. She was born February 25, 1928 in Menominee to Frank and Verna Linczeski. Elizabeth spent her early life in Marinette where she attended Catholic grade school and graduated from Marinette High School, Class of 1946. Prior to her marriage to Charles Schultz, she worked at Woolworth’s in Marinette. After her marriage, Betty worked at Vernco. She later joined her husband in owning and operating the Congress Bar in Marinette until she retired in 1983. In retirement, Betty was employed part-time at the Chalet Motel.
She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
She is survived by two granddaughters, Chrissy Lynch and Michelle Schultz; two great-granddaughters, Leah Lynn and Anna Marie Lynch; and a step-sister, Mrs. Lorraine Kamps.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Michael H. Schultz; a grandson, Michael C. Schultz; two sisters, Theresa LaFleur and Lou Williams; and a step-sister, Mrs. Verlin Kamps.
Friends may call at Hansen-Onion-Martell funeral home in Marinette on Friday, January 18, 2019, from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered, for the repose of the soul of Elizabeth Schultz, at 11 a.m. on Friday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Menominee with Father Abraham Mupparathara presiding. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
