Debra Jean Kornusky, 44, of Marinette, passed away peacefully early Saturday morning May 23, 2020 with family by her side. She was born August 29, 1975 in Marinette to James and Jean (Parker) Nielson. Debra spent most of her life in Marinette and was a graduate of Marinette High School, Class of 1994.
She married Mark Kornusky on September. 27, 1997. She dearly loved her husband Mark of 23 years and daughter Lily. Family was everything to her and loved spending time together. She enjoyed going on adventures and especially trips to her favorite place, Mackinac Island! Her journey led her through a rough road with cancer but she fought it for 16 months and during that time experienced the kindness of so many amazing people. Her radiance of kindness brought out the best in others!
In addition to making a home for her family, Debra was a professional photographer. Debra was an amazing woman who always looked to help others. She loved to speak of inspiring quotes to cheer ones day! Always looking to find the positive in everything, her smile always lit up the room. She loved photography and capturing special moments in nature and always cherished the magical Christmas photos with her special Santa. She will always be remembered for many things but most of all an amazing Wife and Mother. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. She will be missed so much but we know she has earned her wings and is doing great things in heaven!
