Obituary

Darrell Franklin Faucett passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 22, 2019. He was born May 28, 1931, to the late Franklin and Erma Faucett of Porterfield, WI. Darrell is survived by his sisters, Marilyn Faucett and Jennifer (Roger) Merriman, both of Arvada, CO; a nephew, Roger Merriman II (Rebecca) and their children, Evan and Lauren; many relatives and friends.

Darrell graduated from Marinette High School in 1949, and attended the Marinette Extension of the University of Wisconsin for one year. He left school to help his father with the farm. In 1956, he was drafted into the Army for two years, serving in Germany as a radio operator; he was an active reservist for two years prior and inactive reservist for three years upon his return. He then returned to farming. He was a lifelong member of Peace United Church of Christ.

Friends and relatives may call at Hansen-Onion-Martell funeral home in Marinette on Saturday, February 9, 2019, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Services will follow with the Rev. Linda Forray officiating and conclude with an honors ceremony provided by the Military Twenty-Year Club. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Peace United Church of Christ in Marinette.
