June Collard Obituary
July 13, 1925 - March 24, 2017
Resided in Menominee, MI
She grew up in Menominee, Michigan and after high school, she worked in Racine, Wisconsin at a manufacturing plant during World War II. Upon returning to Menominee, she married Dennis Collard on August 7, 1945. Together they built a home here filled with love and warmth where they raised their four children. She was a busy mother and homemaker, but found time for making crafts, restoring antique dolls, quilting, painting and her favorite was soft sculpture.
June is survived by her loving husband, Dennis; her daughter, Karen (John) Orland; three sons, Craig (Cindy) Collard, Curt (Gail) Collard and Dan Collard; eight grandchildren, Chad, Andrea, Christopher, Ben, Katie, Joy, Joseph and Alyisha Collard; seven great-grandchildren; and her dog, Lili.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Jean Roubal; one brother, Wayne Collins; and one grandchild, Alexis Collard.
She will always be remembered for her kind and gentle nature by her children, grandchildren and friends.
Visitation will take place at Hansen-Onion-Martell funeral home in Marinette today, Monday, March 27, 2017, from 4 until 6 p.m. The vigil prayer service will begin at 6 p.m. with Fr. Mark McQuesten presiding. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, for the repose of the soul of June Marion Collard, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 28th at Resurrection Catholic Church in Menominee with Fr. Mark McQuesten presiding. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Very heartfelt gratitude is extended to all the staff at Rennes-East for the kind and compassionate care that they showed our mother during her residency. God bless you all.
