Eileen Gladys Artz, 91, died on November 5, 2015 at Wausau, Wis. She was born on February 3, 1924, in Antigo, Langlade County, Wis. to Paul John, Sr. and Gladys (Bowen) Fritsch.
Eileen graduated from the Antigo High School. She worked at the Dairy Bar in Antigo, then in Milwaukee, Wis. for a short time during World War II at Allis Chalmers and then as secretary in her father's logging camps. Eileen loved music, dancing, writing her memoirs, and her Christian faith. She married Clarence DeLyria on December 31, 1945; he passed away on April 29, 1953. Eileen married Leonard Bombinski on October 20, 1956 and they lived at Marinette and Langlade, Wis.; he passed away on May 3, 1992, at which time she moved back to Marinette. She married Donald Artz on July 13, 2002 and they lived at Rothschild, Wis. She moved into the Mountview Nursing Home, Wausau Wis. in 2012.
Survivors are her husband, Donald Artz; two sons: Steve (Noo Pin) DeLyria, Marinette, Wis. and Tony (Elizabeth) DeLyria, Katy, Texas; and a daughter, Cynthia Bombinski, Rhinelander, Wis.; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Bonnie (Kenneth) Brandt, Spooner, Wis.; brother-in-law, Leroy Dyson, Antigo; six step-children: Marlene (Harvey) Brown, Thomas (Diane) Artz, James (Debra) Artz, Bruce (Nancy) Artz, Steve (Peggy) Artz, Cathy (Dave) Treutelaar and many step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Eileen was preceded in death by her parents; her two former husbands; one sister, Dorothy (Leroy) Dyson; her brother, Paul Fritsch, Jr.; one niece, Vicki Brandt and one great-niece, Madison Leigh Brandt.
The funeral service will be held at the Bradley Funeral Home in Antigo, Wis. on Monday, November 9 at 1 p.m.
Interment will be at the Antigo Queen of Peace Cemetery.
