Obituary

Carolyn Lee Geniesse “Kitchen”, 75 passed away on Friday, January 12, 2018 at St. Paul Elder Services in Kaukauna, WI. She was born on February 21, 1942, in Chester, PA to Robert and Rose Kitchen.
Carolyn moved around with her family, living in Norwood, PA, Glens Falls, NY, Menominee, MI, Memphis, Tenn. and Marinette, WI. She graduated from Menominee High School in 1960. On November 25, 1961, she married Rowland J. Geniesse at St. William’s Church in Menominee. Carolyn and Rowland loved their family tremendously, they enjoyed camping all their life, in retirement they enjoyed Aqualand Campground and Fish Boils in Door County.
She was a member of Holy Family Parish for years.
Carolyn is survived by son, Paul (Jessica) Geniesse of Suring and their children Chris, Jayden and Carley. Daughter, Laurie (Bobby) Bruce of Edinboro, PA. and their children Kelly, Daniel and Myles; son, Joseph (Christine) Geniesse of Black Creek and their children Benjamin, Bridget, Hannah, Joseph II (Molly), Erin, Martin, Patrick, Samuel, MaryClaire and Owen; son Robert (Inga) of Germany, daughter Uma, also children Sarah (Jimmy) Wojtila, Caleb (Kristina Sinclair), Amy and Madeline and their mother Patricia; and she is further survived by her brothers, William (Judy) Kitchen and Robert (Pam) Kitchen and was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Rowland J. Geniesse, her sister Patricia Maslovich and her parents, Robert (Rose) Kitchen.
Friends may call at Hansen-Onion-Martell funeral home on Sunday, January 14, 2018 from 4 until 7 p.m. with a vigil service beginning at 7 p.m. A Mass will be held at Holy Family Parish - Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Monday, January 15, 2018. There will be a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and Mass at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Bill Swichtenberg officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Menominee, MI
The family would like to thank St. Paul Elder Services of Kaukauna, WI for their excellent care of Rowland and Carolyn.
