Linda R. Keller

Linda R. Keller passed away to be with her Lord on Friday, January 8, 2010, after a long battle with brain cancer. She was born on March 13, 1948 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Reuben and Maribelle Lind.

She was a graduate of the Rapid City South Dakota College of Business. Linda worked as the Register in Probate and Juvenile Court Commissioner for Marinette County for 32 years.

Linda is survived by her husband, Roy; two daughters, Tara Archambault and Elizabeth Wilde; five grandchildren, Amanda and Brody Archambault and April, Larry, Jr. and Jarrid White; three sisters, Gloria Gibbs, Janet Ewaldt and Kathy Adams; numerous nieces and nephews; many special friends and her special companion, Reno. She was preceded in death by her parents, Reuben and Maribelle Lind.

Linda belonged to many organizations serving the public. She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, where she served on the Church Council and sang in the choir; she was a member of the Wisconsin Registers in Probate Association, Juvenile Court Commissioners, the Wisconsin Forms Development Board, the State Law Enforcement Board; had served as board president of the Crossroads Shelter Home and Anthony House; served on the 1987 Marinette Centennial Committee and chairperson of the Centennial Ball; the Tri-City Triathlon Committee and many more.

She enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, camping and bird watching, and realized her dream of living in her new rural home. She was also an avid Green Bay Packer fan.

Friends may call at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Marinette, from 2 until 5 p.m. on Sunday, January 10, 2010. Visitation will continue at the church after 5 p.m. on Monday, January 11th, followed by a funeral service at 6 p.m. The Rev. James Wendt will officiate.

Memorial donations received in honor of Linda will be distributed to local charities.

Special appreciation is offered to Dr. Linda Werner, Dr. David Mertens and the Oncology Dept., also to Dr. Wade Mueller and Dr. Jennifer Connelly at Froedtert Medical College in Milwaukee and to Kathy’s House for patient housing.
