Yvonne Elizabeth (Smith) Fronsee March 4, 2010

Yvonne, 82, passed away March 4, 2010 in Florida at the Marliere Hospice Center. Yvonne, and her late husband, Peter J. Fronsee Jr., were long time residents of Marinette, WI, where they raised their family of 6 children. They moved to Florida in 1984. Yvonne, known to her friends as “Babe”, and to her family as “Nana”, is survived by her children and their spouses: Christine (Fronsee) and Ted Keiser of Woodstock, GA, Peter III and Sheri Fronsee of Appleton, WI, Michael and Cindy Fronsee of Brunswick, OH, Jeffrey and Marilee Fronsee of Onalaska, WI, Timothy and Julie Fronsee of New Port Richey, FL, and MaryKay (Fronsee) and Tom Childress of The Villages, FL, and all 21 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth Cadotte and his wife, Alice, of LaPointe, WI; two brothers-in-law, Emil “Butch” Schroeder of Peshtigo, WI, and Edward Kinjerski of New Franken, WI; a sister-in-law, Dorothy (Fronsee) Neville of Menominee, MI; and a sister-in-law, June (Fronsee) Schomaker and her husband, Bobby of Marinette, WI. She was preceded in death by her mother, Viola (Smith) Groulx, and step-sisters, Mary Ann Schroeder, Dorothy Robinson, Jeanne Kinjerski, Isabelle Burroughs, and Edwardine Kinjerski; and sisters-in-law, Estelle Colvin and Marian Reinke. Yvonne was a devoted Catholic, loved being with her family, and enjoyed golfing, dancing, bingo, and a good game of pinochle. While in Marinette she was a long time employee of the University of Wisconsin Marinette Campus, and in earlier years WMAM Radio and WLUK TV. As a young woman she sang professionally, and throughout her life continued her love of singing in church choirs including Our Lady of Lourdes’ and then St. Joseph’s. Yvonne was also a past-president of the Marinette Catholic Women’s Club. The Fronsee Family will gather to hold a memorial service for their parents, Yvonne and Peter Fronsee, at Hansen-Onion-Martell Funeral Home in Marinette, on Saturday, May 1, 2010, followed by burial in the family plot in Forest Home Cemetery.
