Donna E. Larson, 92, formerly of Marinette, passed away Monday, January 30, 2012, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg, Wisconsin. The former Donna E. Garant was born April 29, 1919 in Marinette.

Donna spent her early life in Marinette and was a graduate of Marinette High School, Class of 1937. Following her marriage to Charles E. Larson on September 3, 1941, the couple moved to Milwaukee and later resided in Oxford, Kaukauna and Mosinee before returning to Marinette in 1981. Donna had worked for Wisconsin Bell Telephone, as a dental assistant and together with her husband, operated a motel and resort business in Mosinee. Charles preceded her in death on January 7, 1989. Due to failing health, she moved to the Madison area nine years ago.

Donna is survived by a son, David R. “Rocky” Larson of McFarland, Wis. and one grandson, Kurt Larson of Madison. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Charles Larson III; and a brother, John Garant.

Friends may call at Forest Home Mausoleum in Marinette after 12 noon on Thursday, February 2, 2012. A service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday in the mausoleum with the Rev. Jon Nelson officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Home Mausoleum.
